The tiny toes, the fuzzy hair on their head, the wrinkles on their fingers, and the way their nose crinkles when they scrunch up… You won’t want to forget these little details of your child’s life, the innocence of a newborn child. The love your family shares as they swoon over every inch of the newest addition. These are the treasures we want to capture in your newborn session, and I am honored to do that for you.
The Process
LOCATION
We want this to be easy for you mama! I have a home studio all set up for newborn sessions, and I love to welcome families into my space. For an additional fee, a session can be scheduled in your home. It’s a special feeling to be invited into your home to document your family!
TIME
I don’t photograph newborns until they are at least a week old. When it comes to timing, we want to aim for the first three weeks of baby’s life when they’re still fresh, sleepy, and tiny. However, most importantly we want to make sure you feel well! You’ve just completed an incredible act of delivering life into the world. Take your time mama! We will take care of your portraits!
Prepare
My newborn prep and style guide makes it easy to select outfits for your whole family! I suggest doing this prior to baby’s arrival. This makes the process so much more enjoyable when you’re adjusting to life with a newborn and trying to prepare your whole family for a photo session.
